Currently in Massachusetts, an estimated 275,000+ people are living with an opioid addiction and only 10% are receiving treatment. McLean Hospital along with Brigham and Women’s B-Core, a Brigham-based program, has organized a Massachusetts Opioid Screening and Awareness Day to be held tomorrow and are offering a free virtual town meeting where participants can learn about opioid misuse, treatment, and will be able to take a free, anonymous, online screening. Doctors Scott Weiner and Roger Wiess will join Dan to discuss this innovative program.
