Story Transcript:

He: באווירה חמימה של קיץ חמישי בערב בתל אביב, בהתמצא בין מלון הים ושולי איילון, נתקע דניאל.
En: In the warm atmosphere of a Thursday evening in Tel Aviv, between the Sea Hotel and Shuli Ayalon, Daniel found himself stuck.

He: הוא לא היה מכיר כלום מהאזרחים, המבנים או הרחובות, אף על פי שהוא גדל במקום הזה.
En: He didn't recognize anything - the residents, the buildings, or the streets - even though he grew up in this place.

He: כמו גל ימי הוא נסחף על ידי שכונת נווה צדק, מתחת לטילים של כיכר רבין שעוררה בו זכרונות מהתקופה שהוא היה נעור.
En: Like a wave in the sea, he was swept away by the Neve Tzedek neighborhood, under the missiles of Rabin Square that awakened memories of the period when he was young.

En: He continued to walk aimlessly on Einstein Street, which only gained its name in the past year.

En: Suddenly, Hadekel Street changed his direction, and there was no turning back from there.

En: He found himself in a canyon of rock, surrounded by buildings in Bauhaus style and bus stations.

En: With every step of getting lost, Daniel continued upwards on Zion Street, which seemed like the same street lined up, with only a name change.

En: Spring in its fullness suddenly revealed itself.

En: But after a few hours of miraculous wandering, there was no control.

He: בפתאום, פני דניאל החמימו.
En: Suddenly, Daniel's face brightened.

He: הוא עמד מול בית קטן שלח בין בניינים, המקום שהוא התחיל את כל המסע.
En: He stood in front of a small house tucked between buildings, the place where he began the whole journey.

He: "אני בבית", הוא נושם לעומק.
En: "I'm home," he breathed deeply.

He: פתאום, מבלי שהבין איך, הוא מצא את מקוםו, את המקום שהוא יודע ומרגיש בו בנוח, בנקודה המרכזית של תל אביב, בארץ ישראל.
En: Suddenly, without even realizing how, he found himself in his place, the place where he knows and feels comfortable, in the central point of Tel Aviv, in the land of Israel.

He: כך, סבלת המסע הארוך של דניאל הפכה לחוויה של גאולה ומציאה מחדש של עצמו.
En: Thus, the suffering of Daniel's long journey turned into an experience of redemption and rediscovering himself.

He: הוא הגיע הביתה.
En: He had arrived home.

He: המסע המייאש התגלה כהרפתקה של שובו הביתה.
En: The disappointing journey turned out to be an adventure of returning home.
