Too many times we get caught up in conversations with coworkers and friends that seem to lean hard on how others treat them. Even my father would complain about how decision makers and worker bees endlessly took from him. He felt abused by the system of leadership and those that follow. When we enter those moments of exchange is it truly taking? We all knew what the snake was when we picked it up. Why should any of us feel shocked as to who what and why something is no longer within the grips of our finger tips? The dull ache is what feeds so many away from the center of a very good thing. What once seemed productive and constant eventually eroded due to that burning invisible pain of people taking things away. It's not always what you were hired to bring forward but rather the extra hours put in to help relieve someone of their stress and questions. To build upon the trails and trials of trying to extend the invitation of one day holding a position of decisions being observed and laid out by your own experiences. It doesn't always work that way. Your knowledge in this present state is free. The cost of consulting is an expense most don't want to take on so businesses rely on personal experiences to help build their platforms. Don't get caught up in that game. Your job interviews should be focused only on the position they have open. Stay away from lending your past performances to their growing needs. It doesn't make you more valuable only vulnerable. Then this thought hit me. Being a Christian I realize in all things I have lived and continue to receive none of this belongs or has ever belonged to me. I heard in my heart this morning, "I put that fruit on your vine so others can grow as you have grown. It was given to you so others can take." A very difficult place to stand. Is your talent up for grabs? Are you holding the door open for others to pass you by? If that's how it feels are you being selfish with these horrid feelings of not wanting to easily give up your knowledge? Is it ok to be protective or should the fields that which we mend and fill with seeds be the source of energy for others to find their own faith and success?
