Today our guest and Scott’s nephew, Carl Wright, joins us. He is a father, husband, entrepreneur, coach, a spiritual guru and we’re so excited to have had this vulnerable conversation with him. Carl’s family moved to Bolivia when he was 7 years old where he learned Spanish by watching shows on TV in that language. His dad served as a mission president for the LDS Church, but after the mission he realized he needed to be true to himself about who he really was because he had been hiding that he was gay. Accepting this part of himself was all part of being able to experience greater joy in his life. We have to understand how our beliefs and perceptions are formed, and then realize that all of the things our families/friends/teachers have taught us may or may not be true. Then we can start to realize and see the truth of who we really are. “It’s not How much money can I make.’ It’s ‘How can I help other people?’”
