Story Transcript:

Sv: I hjärtat av Stockholm låg en liten ljus lägenhet.
En: In the heart of Stockholm lay a small bright apartment.

Sv: Där bodde Ingrid, en kvinna med ett hjärta av guld och en vilja av stål.
En: There lived Ingrid, a woman with a heart of gold and a will of steel.

Sv: En dag fick Ingrid en låda från IKEA.
En: One day, Ingrid received a box from IKEA.

Sv: "Detta ska bli kul!
En: "This should be fun!"

Sv: " tänkte hon.
En: she thought.

Sv: I lådan fanns en bokhylla som hon nätt och jämt kunde bära.
En: In the box was a bookshelf that she could barely carry.

Sv: Men det var inga instruktioner.
En: But there were no instructions.

Sv: Ingrid tittade på alla delarna och kliade sig i huvudet.
En: Ingrid looked at all the pieces and scratched her head.

Sv: Bokhyllan var i tusen bitar.
En: The bookshelf was in a thousand pieces.

Sv: Men hon tänkte: "Jag klarar det nog.
En: But she thought, "I can probably do it."

Sv: " Och så började hon.
En: And so she began.

Sv: Hon satt i köket med skruvar, plankor och en skruvmejsel.
En: She sat in the kitchen with screws, planks, and a screwdriver.

Sv: Solen sken in genom fönstret.
En: The sun shone through the window.

Sv: Det var gott om ljus.
En: There was plenty of light.

Sv: Ingrid kände sig peppad.
En: Ingrid felt motivated.

Sv: Men snart var det problem.
En: But soon there was a problem.

Sv: Delarna passade inte ihop.
En: The parts didn't fit together.

Sv: En skruv var för kort.
En: One screw was too short.

Sv: En platta var för lång.
En: One board was too long.

Sv: Ingrid blev frustrerad.
En: Ingrid became frustrated.

Sv: Hon svettades och suckade tungt.
En: She sweated and sighed heavily.

Sv: Men hon gav inte upp.
En: But she didn't give up.

Sv: "Jag ska klara det!
En: "I will figure it out!"

Sv: " sa hon.
En: she said.

Sv: Hon lät inte svårigheter stoppa henne.
En: She didn't let difficulties stop her.

Sv: Alltid var det något som gick fel, men hon fortsatte i alla fall.
En: There was always something going wrong, but she continued anyway.

Sv: Solen gick ner.
En: The sun went down.

Sv: Mörker föll över Stockholm.
En: Darkness fell over Stockholm.

Sv: Den ljusa lägenheten var nu mörk.
En: The bright apartment was now dark.

Sv: Men Ingrid satt fortfarande med IKEA-bokhyllan.
En: But Ingrid was still sitting with the IKEA bookshelf.

Sv: Till slut gick det.
En: Finally, it worked.

Sv: Hon skruvade i den sista skruven.
En: She tightened the last screw.

Sv: Bokhyllan stod där, klar och fin.
En: The bookshelf stood there, completed and nice.

Sv: Ingrid var trött men glad.
En: Ingrid was tired but happy.

Sv: "Där ser man!
En: "There you go!"

Sv: " sa hon.
En: she said.

Sv: "Det går, även om det är svårt.
En: "It's possible, even though it's hard."

Sv: " Och sedan satte hon sig ner och tittade på sin nya bokhylla.
En: And then she sat down and looked at her new bookshelf.

Sv: Den var fin, trots allt.
En: It was nice, after all.

Sv: Och det var den dagen Ingrid lärde sig att det inte alltid är lätt att bygga IKEA-möbler utan instruktioner.
En: And that was the day Ingrid learned that it's not always easy to build IKEA furniture without instructions.

Sv: Men det går att klara det.
En: But it can be done.

Sv: Och Ingrid visste att hon alltid skulle försöka, även om det var svårt.
En: And Ingrid knew that she would always try, even if it was difficult.
