Story Transcript:

Ja: 夏のある夜、華、健太、そして聡は、町外れの廃墟となったカラオケバーに集まった。
En: One summer night, Hana, Kenta, and Satoshi gathered at an abandoned karaoke bar on the outskirts of town.

Ja: カラオケバーは薄暗く、ほこりにまみれ、壊れた家具と古いポスターがあるだけだった。
En: The karaoke bar was dimly lit, covered in dust, and filled with broken furniture and old posters.

Ja: 彼らの目的は違った。
En: Their motivations for being there were different.

Ja: 華はただ楽しい夜を過ごしたかった。
En: Hana just wanted to have a fun night.

Ja: 健太は怖がりやすく、この場所に入ること自体がチャレンジだった。
En: Kenta, who was easily frightened, found merely entering the place to be a challenge.

Ja: 聡は幽霊の話が大好きで、本当に幽霊がいるかどうか確かめたかった。
En: Satoshi, who loved ghost stories, wanted to see if there really were any ghosts.

Ja: 「こんな場所、本当に歌えるの？」華は疑わしげに口を開いた。
En: "Can we really sing in a place like this?" Hana asked skeptically.

Ja: しかし、その時、不思議な音が聞こえてきた。
En: At that moment, they heard a strange sound.

Ja: 誰かがカラオケマイクで歌っていた。しかし、その声はひどく音をはずしていた。
En: Someone was singing into a karaoke microphone, but the voice was badly off-key.

Ja: 「うわっ、これ何の音？」健太はびくっとした。彼の顔は青ざめていた。
En: "W-w-what's that noise?" Kenta jumped, his face pale.

Ja: 聡はにやりと笑った。
En: Satoshi grinned.

Ja: 「これは幽霊の歌声だ！」と興奮気味に言った。
En: "That's the voice of a ghost!" he said excitedly.

Ja: 「そうは思えないわ。多分スピーカーが壊れてるだけでしょ。」華は冷静に言った。
En: "I don't think so. It's probably just a broken speaker," Hana said calmly.

Ja: 三人は音のする方向に進んだ。
En: The three of them moved toward the sound.

Ja: そこにはかすかに見える白い影があった。
En: There, they saw a faint white shadow.

Ja: 影の正体は、悲しげな顔をした幽霊だった。この幽霊は、音を外しまくって歌っていた。
En: The shadow turned out to be a ghost with a sorrowful expression, singing terribly off-key.

Ja: 「こんにんちは、幽霊さん。」聡が勇気を出して話しかけた。
En: "Hello, Mr. Ghost," Satoshi gathered his courage and spoke.

Ja: 幽霊は驚いたが、優しく微笑んだ。
En: The ghost was surprised but smiled gently.

Ja: 「ごめんなさい。歌が下手で。」幽霊は落ち込んだ声で答えた。
En: "Sorry for my poor singing," the ghost replied in a dejected voice.

Ja: 「昔は上手に歌えたのに、今はもう音がとれないの。」
En: "I used to sing well, but now I can't hit the right notes."

Ja: 華はその言葉に少し心を動かされた。
En: Hana was somewhat moved by those words.

Ja: 「私、音楽の知識があるわ。お手伝いできるかも。」
En: "I have some knowledge of music. Maybe I can help."

Ja: 「そんな幽霊なんて、いるわけない！」健太はまだ恐怖心が収まらないようだったが、華と聡の信じる姿に少し安心したようで、一歩引きずりながらついて行った。
En: "There's no way ghosts actually exist!" Kenta was still terrified, but seeing Hana and Satoshi's determined expressions gave him a bit of reassurance, so he followed them, albeit reluctantly.

Ja: 聡は幽霊の言葉を華に伝え、華は音程を教え始めた。
En: Satoshi translated the ghost’s words to Hana, who began to teach it about pitch.

Ja: 幽霊は一生懸命にリズムを合わせ、音を取ろうとした。
En: The ghost tried hard to match the rhythm and hit the right notes.

Ja: 何度も失敗したが、少しずつ上手になっていった。
En: It failed multiple times but gradually got better.
