We all have traditions we hold dear to in our lives; traditions handed down from generation to generation. The Jewish leaders of Jesus day in their attempts to hold to these traditions missed the very heart of God. Jesus spent a bit of time trying to break down the legalism and hypocrisy of the Pharisees. What Jesus had to say helps us at lgbtiq people of faith to better understand the heart of God toward all people and the harm caused when we make up our own rule.

“Our statement of inclusivity boldly and proudly proclaims Christ’s equal love for all people regardless of their ability, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, gender or culture.”
