Story Transcript:

El: Στη σκιά του μεγάλου πολυγώνικου κτιρίου με τις μεγαλοπρεπείς κολώνες, τα παράξενα γεγονότα συνέβαιναν.
En: In the shadow of the large polygonal building with the grandiose columns, strange events were occurring.

El: Ο Νίκος και η Ελένη ανακάλυψαν κάτι που κανείς άλλος δεν είχε παρατηρήσει.
En: Nikos and Eleni discovered something that no one else had noticed.

El: Μια κατσίκα είχε εισβάλλει στη βιβλιοθήκη του σχολείου τους στην Αθήνα.
En: A goat had invaded their school's library in Athens.

El: Ήταν καλοκαίρι.
En: It was summer.

El: Η ατμόσφαιρα ήταν γεμάτη ήλιο και η ζεστή αύρα γαλήνευε τους μαθητές.
En: The atmosphere was filled with sunshine, and the warm breeze was soothing the students.

El: Όμως, εκείνη η μέρα υπόσχεται περιπέτεια.
En: However, that day promised adventure.

El: Η Ελένη, πάντα προσεκτική, παρατήρησε κάτι παράξενο: άκουσε ελαφριές κτυποκοιλιές και ένα μακρινό μπεεε.
En: Eleni, always attentive, noticed something odd: she heard light tapping sounds and a distant bleating.

El: Μαζί με τον Νίκο, αποφάσισαν να ερευνήσουν.
En: Along with Nikos, they decided to investigate.

El: Η βιβλιοθήκη ήταν ένα ζεστό, αλλά και κάπως μουχλιασμένο μέρος.
En: The library was a warm but somewhat musty place.

El: Τα μεγάλα ξύλινα τραπέζια και τα σκονισμένα βιβλία έδιναν μια αίσθηση παλαιάς εποχής.
En: The large wooden tables and dusty books gave a sense of an old era.

El: Καθώς περπατούσαν ανάμεσα στα ράφια, ξαφνικά είδαν την κατσίκα.
En: As they walked among the shelves, they suddenly saw the goat.

El: Ήταν μια μικρή άσπρη κατσίκα με μεγάλα, άτακτα μάτια.
En: It was a small white goat with large, mischievous eyes.

El: Γύριζε ανάμεσα στα βιβλία και τραβούσε με τα δόντια της τις σελίδες.
En: It was wandering among the books, chewing the pages with its teeth.

El: Ο Νίκος, με τη γνωστή του περιέργεια, ήθελε να καταλάβει πώς η κατσίκα κατέληξε εκεί.
En: Nikos, with his well-known curiosity, wanted to understand how the goat ended up there.

El: Πλησίασε σιγά-σιγά, αλλά η κατσίκα ξεκίνησε να τρέχει, ρίχνοντας βιβλία και μελάνια στο πάτωμα.
En: He approached slowly, but the goat started to run, knocking over books and ink pots onto the floor.

El: "Πρέπει να τη βγάλουμε έξω πριν έρθει ο διευθυντής," είπε η Ελένη, κοιτάζοντας ανήσυχα γύρω της.
En: "We need to get her out before the principal arrives," Eleni said, looking around anxiously.

El: Ο Νίκος σκεφτόταν γρήγορα.
En: Nikos was thinking quickly.

El: "Θα δοκιμάσω αυτό," είπε, και πήρε ένα βιβλίο μυθολογίας από το ράφι.
En: "I'll try this," he said, taking a mythology book from the shelf.

El: Ήξερε ότι η κατσίκα αγαπούσε να μασάει χαρτιά.
En: He knew the goat loved chewing paper.

El: Την ίδια στιγμή, η Ελένη έτρεξε στην κουζίνα του σχολείου και πήρε λίγη τροφή για ζώα.
En: At the same time, Eleni ran to the school kitchen and got some animal feed.

El: Καθώς η κατσίκα επέστρεφε πάλι για να προκαλέσει κίνηση στα βιβλία, ο Νίκος άρχισε να της δείχνει τις σελίδες.
En: As the goat returned to cause more havoc with the books, Nikos began to show her the pages.

El: Η κατσίκα σταμάτησε να τον κοιτάζει με ενδιαφέρον.
En: The goat stopped and looked at him with interest.

El: Πλησίασε, και η Ελένη της προσέφερε την τροφή.
En: It approached, and Eleni offered it the feed.

El: Σιγά-σιγά την οδήγησαν προς την έξοδο.
En: Slowly, they led it towards the exit.

El: Όμως, καθώς έπαιρναν την κατσίκα προς το προαύλιο, άκουσαν βήματα.
En: However, as they were leading the goat towards the yard, they heard footsteps.

El: Ήταν ο διευθυντής.
En: It was the principal.

El: Ο Νίκος και η Ελένη κρατούσαν την αναπνοή τους, αλλά κατάφεραν να τρέξουν με την κατσίκα έξω ακριβώς τη στιγμή που ο διευθυντής γύρισε στη γωνία.
En: Nikos and Eleni held their breath, but they managed to run outside with the goat just as the principal turned the corner.

El: Εκείνοι κάθισαν εξουθενωμένοι στο γρασίδι.
En: They sat exhausted on the grass.

El: Τα ρούχα τους ήταν γεμάτα λεκέδες και τρίχες κατσίκας.
En: Their clothes were covered in stains and goat hair.

El: Γέλασαν.
En: They laughed.

El: Ο Νίκος κοίταξε την Ελένη και είπε: "Χωρίς εσένα, δεν θα τα είχα καταφέρει."
En: Nikos looked at Eleni and said, "Without you, I wouldn't have managed."

El: Η Ελένη χαμογέλασε και αποκρίθηκε: "Κι εγώ έμαθα ότι οι περιπέτειες σου κάνουν τη ζωή πιο ενδιαφέρουσα."
En: Eleni smiled and replied, "And I learned that adventures make life more interesting."

El: Και έτσι, η καλοκαιρινή μέρα τελείωσε με μια νέα φιλία πιο δυνατή από ποτέ, και με μια ιστορία που θα διηγούνταν για χρόνια.
En: And so, the summer day ended with a new friendship stronger than ever, and with a story that would be told for years.
