The Evil Eye exists and is a deadly force. It can cause serious illness, insanity, suicide and an early death. Evil Eye is negative energy at its most lethal.

From this Suhbah, you will learn what the Prophetﷺ meant when he said:
"Do not harm, and do not be harmed."
"Everyone who is blessed is envied (so hide your blessings)."

1) What does Mawlanaق mean when he says, "Be happy!" Whom must we be happy with?

2) What is Evil Eye? Where does it originate from and what are the signs of being touched by it? Listen to how a Companion named Sahl (ra) almost died from Evil Eye.

3) Do you know that the people sending Evil Eye usually do it without knowing? How do we prevent ourselves from sending this negative energy to others?

4) Do you know that Evil Eye is mentioned in Surah al-Falaq (Verse 5)?
وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
And (protect me) from the evil of an envier when he envies.
How do we protect ourselves from it? Do you know that Evil Eye is often mistaken for sihir (black magic)?

5) Announcing our gifts and blessedness on Social Media invites much Evil Eye. Posting selfies of our faces and family members exposes them to Evil eye. We may destroy our business and marriage, and bring harm to our spouses and children by posting about them. What did Rasulullahﷺ say about those who are blessed?

6) "Share your good dream with only those who love you". (Hadeeth). Why?

7) Why is Evil Eye more rampant in some communities as compared to others?

8) Who are the enemies of Jibril (as) and Mikail (as) as mentioned in the Qur'an?

9) What did the neighbour of Sayyidina Musa (as) say when he was asked to pray for the prosperity of a disliked neighbour?

10) Whom can we envy? Which two groups of believers are envy towards, acceptable? Why?

11) From this Suhbah, why is it proof that we need a guide to explain our journey to us, and that it is impossible for us to tafsir Qur'anic Verses or Hadeeth, using just our mind?
