It: Era una calda giornata estiva nella piccola città italiana di Trevi.
En: It was a hot summer day in the small Italian town of Trevi.

It: La famiglia Di Matteo si era riunita per una cena di famiglia nel giardino di casa.
En: The Di Matteo family had gathered for a family dinner in the garden of their home.

It: La tavola era stata preparata con cura, con piatti di pasta fumanti e svariati piatti di contorno tradizionali.
En: The table had been carefully prepared, with plates of steaming pasta and several traditional side dishes.
