An ink stain on my left hand totally took my memory and imagination into areas of discomfort. I'm endlessly amazed at how sound an scent can play the same game. I might as well add unfairly/ From out of nowhere your heart become injured. Dreams do the same trick. We have no control over them or a simple drop of ink landing on my left hand. It's moments like this that you have to talk to your future self. Treat them like they already exist in your past. It prepares your writing self to take the impact of a sudden memory. Recognize it then move on.
