The Church is universal, encompassing all believers, past, present, and future, and local, consisting of individual gatherings of believers who come together to worship, learn, and serve. It is a body of believers that is united by a common faith and purpose, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out the mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
