Traditional vs an holistic approach to breast cancer. Christine Horner, M.D. is a leading expert in breast cancer. As a surgeon and reconstructive plastic surgeon, Dr Honer has a unique approach between balancing holistic and traditional medicine with breast cancer. We'll talk about genes and the BRAC 1 breast cancer gene. You can lower your risk of developing breast cancer if you have the BRAC 1 gene just by what you eat. Every cell in your body has an entire dna map, in your whole genome certain genes are turned off and turned on. Eating an unhealthy diet and processed sugary foods you can actually turn on the bad genes.

Sugar for instance causes inflammation in the body and knocks out your immune system for about 5 hours after you consume it. Dr Horner talks about how your diet is so important to your health and risk of developing cancer.
