Uk: У неділю сонце освіжало Львів.
En: On Sunday, the sun brightened up Lviv.

Uk: Приїхали друзі - Катерина, Іван та Оксана.
En: Friends arrived - Katerina, Ivan, and Oksana.

Uk: Вони зустрілись в старому дворику Катерини.
En: They met in Katerina's old courtyard.

Uk: Це було їхнє улюблене місце.
En: It was their favorite place.

Uk: Тут вони любили гатити.
En: Here they loved to hang out.

Uk: У сковорідках плескав борщ.
En: In the pans, borscht was simmering.

Uk: Від всіх трьох друзів йшли різні запахи: Катеринин борщ пахнув яблуками, від Івана віяло солодким оттом буряків, а Оксанин суп смердів часником.
En: Different smells wafted from all three friends: Katerina's borscht smelled of apples, Ivan's had a hint of sweet beets, and Oksana's soup reeked of garlic.

Uk: "Між друзями буловало суперництво, але в добрий спосіб.
En: There was friendly rivalry among the friends.

Uk: Кожен казав, що його рецепт кращий.

Uk: Вони готували, куштували й обговорювали.
