The wind's power is so strong that it can reach speeds of 320 Km/h, and it is thanks to this power that scholars and explorers have been able to set sails and explore our planet. Wind is also capable of generating energy, and it is becoming increasingly prominent among renewable energy sources. According to the latest Wind Europe data, 2023 saw the installation of 17 Gigawatts of new facilities across Europe, with 14 Gigawatts from onshore and 3 Gigawatts from offshore installations. In this episode, Marco Scurati and guest Claudio Piccinelli, Head of Offshore Wind and Northern Europe Renewables at Plenitude, explore how the power of wind is transformed into energy.
