Sydney Sky Sports Radio radio breakfast host Terry Kennedy says the Australian ball tampering saga has finished David Warner's career for the national team.
Cricket Australia have banned Warner and Smith fromĀ all professional cricket for 12 months, and Cameron Bancroft for nine months.
Smith has been banned from the captaincy for at least two years, while Warner has been told he will never lead Australia ever again.
Darren Lehmann has even called for the Australian team to play more like the Black Caps.
Kennedy believes we have seen the last of Warner, however he is more optimistic of Smith's chances of returning to the national team.
"Steve Smith will recover from this but he won't ever captain Australia again.
"David Warner won't ever recover from this again, and I don't think we'll see Dave Warner back in the Test team again, automatically like we will with Smith.
"Warner will only get another start if it's pure weight of runs and Australia are desperate for an opening batsman. We could have seen the last of Dave Warner.
