Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Welcome to your West Central and Southwest Florida surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin. Let's dive in!

Today along the coastal areas of Levy, Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco, expect a low rip current risk with surf heights of 1 foot or less. The sun will be shining high with a very high UV index, so don't forget your sunscreen! Temperatures will be in the upper 80s with east winds in the morning shifting to the north later on.

Tonight, the rip current risk remains low with calm surf conditions. Temperatures will dip to the upper 70s under mostly clear skies. Winds will be from the northeast, becoming southeast after midnight.

Moving onto Tuesday, the low rip current risk continues with sunny weather and temperatures in the upper 80s. Expect east winds throughout the day with some tidal changes at Cedar Key and Saint Petersburg.

For those hitting up the beaches of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota, today brings a low rip current risk with surf heights of 1 foot or less. The UV index will be very high, so keep that sunscreen handy. Temperatures will be around 90, with northeast winds at about 10 mph.
