Tales Of The Texas Rangers - Apache Peak is a radio episode that aired on July 22, 1950. It is a fictional story based on the real-life exploits of the Texas Rangers.The episode begins with a New York driver named Joe Allen being killed by a hitchhiker. The hitchhiker is a young man named Apache Jack. Apache Jack is a Native American who is angry at the white man for taking his land. He is determined to kill as many white men as possible.Texas Ranger Jace Pearson is assigned to investigate Allen's murder. He soon discovers that Apache Jack is responsible for the crime. Pearson also discovers that Apache Jack is planning to raid a white settlement.Pearson tracks Apache Jack to his hideout in Apache Peak. He confronts Apache Jack and orders him to surrender, but Apache Jack opens fire. Pearson returns fire and kills Apache Jack.Pearson returns to the white settlement and warns the residents about the danger. The residents are grateful to Pearson for saving them from Apache Jack.Apache Peak is a classic example of a Tales Of The Texas Rangers episode.
