La notte scorsa l'esercito del generale Abdel Fattah al-Burhane e le Forze di supporto rapido del generale Mohamed Hamdane Daglo avevano concordato di prorogare di 72 ore il cessate il fuoco, raggiunto sotto l'egida degli Stati Uniti.
