Phil Steele, author of the Phil Steele College Football preview magazine, joins the Sons of UCF to preview the 2022 season for the Knights. Decimated by injuries in 2021, Phil thought the Knights played well enough to win games, and particularly praised QB Mikey Keene for stepping in as a true freshman. Looking forward to 2022, Phil is high on the Knights offense, although he certainly favors one QB to take the reins. On the defensive side of the ball, Phil feels the secondary is going to be a real strength this season, and has several key names that he thinks will make an impact. Overall, Phil is high on the Knights to play well in AAC, but despite what other polls have said, he thinks Cincinnati and Houston will have challenges this year. And, Phil gives you his AAC sleeper team. In the Big12, Phil thinks it is Oklahoma's conference to lose, but thinks this is the best the Big12 has been top to bottom in several years. He even says, watch out for Kansas. Yes, THAT Kansas.
