Most developers work on large code repositories--files with thousands upon thousands of lines of code which reference, call and stack on top of one another to create a crazy complex final product.

In my experience developing logistics software over the years, one of the best practices we've adopted is a modular approach to code structure. I really believe breaking things down into independent, interchangeable pieces is crucial for managing large, complex programs. While modular development demands more upfront design, it saves us countless hours of frustration down the road. For any sizable logistics program, I truly think breaking it down into independent building blocks pays off in the long run through improved maintainability, flexibility, and productivity. It's now our preferred way to develop software, especially a logistic one: https://andersenlab.com/industries/logistics
