Story Transcript:
Cy: Roedd hi'n ddiwrnod braf a heulog yn Aberystwyth, a byddai Eleri, merch ifanc a hoffai bywyd y fferm, yn paratoi am gystadleuaeth pentrefol.
En: It was a beautiful and sunny day in Aberystwyth, and Eleri, a young girl who loved farm life, was preparing for a village competition.
Cy: Roedd hi'n gweithio ar y fferm gyda'i ffrind Gareth, a oedd yn gwybod popeth am ddefaid.
En: She worked on the farm with her friend Gareth, who knew everything about sheep.
Cy: "Rydyn ni'n mynd i ennill y gystadleuaeth eleni," meddai Eleri wrth i hi edrych dros y prysgwydd o ddefaid.
En: "We're going to win the competition this year," said Eleri as she looked over the flock of sheep.
Cy: Ond roedd rhywbeth am ddod i darfu ar ei chynlluniau.
En: But something was about to disrupt her plans.
Cy: Wrth i Eleri agor y giât i symud y defaid at y cae arall, llithrodd a gollyngodd y giât yn glir ar agor.
En: As Eleri opened the gate to move the sheep to the other field, she slipped and accidentally left the gate wide open.
Cy: Ar unwaith, dechreuodd y defaid brysur fod yn chwilfrydig a rhedeg tuag at y pentref, gan adael Eleri a Gareth mewn cyflwr o benderfyniad.
En: The sheep immediately became curious and started running towards the village, leaving Eleri and Gareth in a state of decision.
Cy: "Rhaid i ni ddal nhw cyn iddyn nhw gael eu niweidio!
En: "We have to catch them before they get hurt!"
Cy: " bloeddiodd Gareth.
En: shouted Gareth.
Cy: Aeth Eleri a Gareth ar eu holau, gan redeg mor gyflym ag y gallent.
En: Eleri and Gareth ran after the sheep as fast as they could.
Cy: Ond y defaid, yn llawer golygfeydd dieithr, yn penderfynol o grwydro.
En: But the sheep, with many unfamiliar sights, were determined to wander.
Cy: Heb i Eleri sylwi, rhedodd y defaid i mewn i archfarchnad leol.
En: Without Eleri noticing, the sheep ran into a local market.
Cy: Roedd pobl yn siopa, heb syniad bod antur anarferol ar fin digwydd.
En: People were shopping, unaware of the unusual adventure about to unfold.
Cy: Dechreuodd y defaid bori trwy'r silffoedd, eu pennau'n gwthio trwy'r bwyd, gan achosi anhrefn.
En: The sheep began to rummage through the shelves, nudging their heads through the food, causing chaos.
Cy: "Sut y daeth hyn i ddigwydd?
En: "How did this happen?"
Cy: " gwaeddodd gwraig ar lefel uchel, wrth i ddefaid heidio heibio'i throli.
En: shouted a woman loudly as the sheep wandered past her trolley.
Cy: Gan wneud pethau gwaeth, roedd camerau newyddion yn dechrau troi'r digwyddiad yn stori fawr.
En: Making matters worse, news cameras began to turn the event into a big story.
Cy: Roedd Eleri a Gareth yn teimlo'n isel iawn, ond nid oedd amser i sori: roedd rhaid dal y defaid.
En: Eleri and Gareth felt very low, but there was no time to mourn: the sheep had to be caught.
Cy: Gyda chydweithrediad y staff a'r cwsmeriaid, penderfynodd Eleri a Gareth ddefnyddio bwyd i arwain y defaid allan.
En: With the cooperation of the staff and customers, Eleri and Gareth decided to use food to lead the sheep out.
Cy: Gafaelodd Eleri â phwysau bwyd gan eu cario tuag at y drws.
En: Eleri grabbed food bags, carrying them towards the door.
Cy: "Dilynwch fi," meddai wrth y defaid.
En: "Follow me," she said to the sheep.
Cy: A oeddent yn edrych arni gyda llygaid chwilfrydig.
En: They looked at her with curious eyes.
Cy: Gareth agorodd y drws ac arweiniodd Eleri'r defaid allan o'r archfarchnad, gan eu dilyn yn ôl i fferm trwy'r dre.
En: Gareth opened the door and led the sheep out of the market, following them back to the farm through town.
Cy: Roedd y bobl yn gwylio, rhai yn chwerthin, eraill yn cynnig helpu.
En: People were watching, some laughing, others offering to help.
Cy: Yn ôl yn y fferm, roedd Eleri'n flinedig ond yn hapus wrth iddi geisio esbonio i'r newyddiadurwyr beth ddigwyddodd.
En: Back at the farm, Eleri was tired but happy as she tried to explain to the reporters what had happened.
Cy: Gareth wenu, ac wedi iddyn nhw olchi eu dwylo a'u wynebau, roeddent yn barod i ddychwelyd i'r gystadleuaeth, gyda'r defaid yn dawel unwaith eto.
En: Gareth smiled, and after they washed their hands and faces, they were ready to return to the competition, with the sheep quietly once again.
Cy: Er gwaethaf yr amser caled, roedd pawb yn y pentref yn sôn am sut roedd Eleri a Gareth wedi trin y sefyllfa gyda dewrder a dyfeisgarwch.
En: Despite the tough time, everyone in the village was talking about how Eleri and Gareth had handled the situation with courage and ingenuity.
Cy: Fe wnaethant ddod yn arwyr lleol.
En: They had become local heroes.
Cy: Yn y diwedd, nid oedd y gystadleuaeth pentref mor bwysig â'r ffaith bod nhw wedi dysgu gwers bwysig am gydweithio a pheidio â cholli calon pan fydd pethau'n mynd o chwith.
En: In the end, the village competition wasn't as important as the important lesson they had learned about working together and not losing heart when things go wrong.
Cy: Ac yn bwysicaf oll, roedd pawb yn Aberystwyth, gan gynnwys y dorf o ddefaid, yn iawn diolch i Eleri a Gareth.
En: And most importantly, everyone in Aberystwyth, including the flock of sheep, was very thankful to Eleri and Gareth.
