Salmos 1:1‭-‬6 RVA2015:
Bienaventurado el hombre que no anda según el consejo de los impíos ni se detiene en el camino de los pecadores ni se sienta en la silla de los burladores. Más bien, en la ley del SEÑOR está su delicia, y en ella medita de día y de noche. Será como un árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas que da su fruto a su tiempo y su hoja no cae. Todo lo que hace prosperará. No sucede así con los impíos, que son como el tamo que arrebata el viento. Por tanto, no se levantarán los impíos en el juicio ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos. Porque el SEÑOR conoce el camino de los justos, pero el camino de los impíos perecerá.


Vamos a comenzar una serie de reflexiones basadas en uno de los libros más reconocidos del antiguo testamento. Es el más largo y se compone de diferentes autores. El principal es el rey David, seguido por Salomón, Moisés, Etán, Asaf, los hijos de Coré y algunos más. Otros salmos son de autores desconocidos, pero sabemos que son combinaciones de canciones que se han entonado a través de los siglos en el pueblo judío y que ahora tenemos está colección de cánticos sagrados.
En los salmos vas a encontrar un estilo literario poético, de frases cortas o historias que narran algún evento importante.
Una de las razones, considero yo, que atrae a los lectores de la Biblia a este libro es porque son frases simples, cortas, directas y sinceras. Los autores aquí expresan sus emociones claramente. Alegrías y tristezas, temores y enojos, dudas y exaltaciones de alabanza. Esto ayuda a muchos a acercarse al Señor de la misma forma, sin tapujos, ni complejos, ni inseguridades. Ellos nos enseñan a orar a Dios conforme cómo nos estamos sintiendo.
Así como hoy en día nos identificamos con alguna canción en particular de acuerdo a las emociones que estemos viviendo, así mismo los salmistas también escribían canciones, pero en este caso, dejaban sus emociones a los pies de Dios, desahogando todas sus emociones y expresiones en los cánticos.
Antes de seguir, quiero aclarar algo: Si un capítulo de un salmo contiene menos de 15 versos, lo voy a leer completamente; pero sí es muy largo, te recuerdo que debes leer todo el capítulo completo para que así puedas absorber todo el contexto bíblico del capítulo y que puedas llegar al final de este libro satisfecho por haber leído todo el libro de Salmos en los próximos 150 días.

Reflexionando sobre el salmo 1, aprendemos la importancia de vivir una vida íntegra. El salmista aquí describe las cualidades de una persona que es bendecida por Dios. Es una persona que se aleja de los caminos de maldad, de malas amistades y de caer en malos hábitos, y que también medita continuamente en la Palabra del Señor. En contraste, aquel que anda en malos pasos va a perecer y no va tener una vida digna, sin ningún valor.
Por último, quiero resaltar la palabra donde dice que todo lo que hace, prosperará. Es una esperanza muy bonita para aquellos que nos esforzamos día a día en cumplir la Palabra de Dios, a pesar de que existe en la actualidad gente mala donde aparentemente tienen una vida próspera ante el ojo público pero su corazón está lleno de vacíos, tormentos y perturbaciones. En cambio, el justo será prosperado en todas las áreas de su vida a nivel familiar, financiero, emocional, ministerial y espiritual.

Considera:
¿Está guardando la Palabra de Dios? ¿La estás estudiando todos los días?
¿Eres cuidadoso con las personas con las que te rodeas?

September 16: A righteous and prosperous life.

Psalms 1:1-6:
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.


We are going to begin a series of reflections based on one of the most recognized books of the Old Testament. It is the longest and is made up of different authors. The main one is King David, followed by Solomon, Moses, Ethan, Asaph, the sons of Korah and a few more. Other psalms are of unknown authors, but we know that they are combinations of songs that have been sung through the centuries in the Jewish people and that we now have this collection of sacred songs.
In the psalms you will find a poetic literary style, with short phrases or stories that narrate an important event.
One of the reasons, I think, that draws Bible readers to this book is because they are simple, short, direct and sincere phrases. The authors here express their emotions clearly. Joys and sorrows, fears and angers, doubts and exaltations of praise. This helps many to approach the Lord in the same way, without hesitation, complexes or insecurities. They teach us to pray to God according to how we are feeling.
Just as nowadays we identify with a particular song according to the emotions we are experiencing, likewise the psalmists also wrote songs, but in this case, they left their emotions at the feet of God, venting all their emotions and expressions in the chants.
Before continuing, I want to clarify something: If a chapter of a psalm contains less than 15 verses, I will read it completely; but it is very long, I remind you that you should read the entire chapter so that you can absorb all the biblical context of the chapter and you can reach the end of this book satisfied for having read the entire book of Psalms in the next 150 days.

Reflecting on Psalm 1, we learn the importance of living a life of integrity. The psalmist here describes the qualities of a person who is blessed by God. This is a person who turns away from the ways of evil, from bad friendships and from falling into bad habits, and who also continually meditates on the Word of the Lord. In contrast, the person who walks the path of evil will perish and will not have a dignified life, without any value.
Lastly, I want to highlight the word where it says that everything you do will prosper. It is a very beautiful hope for those of us who strive every day to fulfill the Word of God, even though there are currently bad people where they apparently have a prosperous life in the public eye but their hearts are full of emptiness, torments and disturbances. Instead, the righteous will prosper in all areas of their life at the family, financial, emotional, ministerial and spiritual levels.

Consider this:
Are you keeping God's Word? Are you studying it every day?
Are you careful with the people you surround yourself with?
