A new streaming series titled Scarlett Holmes is officially scheduled to premiere on the Roku Channel in 2027. Actress Lucy Hale will spearhead the project as both the lead star and an executive producer for the upcoming production. Rather than tackling traditional criminal investigations, this gender-swapped reboot features a modern descendant of the famous detective who applies her deductive abilities to romance, dating, and relationship mysteries. Every individual episode takes creative inspiration from a well-known romantic comedy film to blend the mystery and rom-com genres. The narrative will also introduce fresh interpretations of classic literary figures, including a trusty companion named Jack Watson and an arch-nemesis turned love interest named Ollie Moriarty.
