The Hololulu Strangler is responsible for the murders of 5 women between 1985 and 1986. He has yet to be caught. All victims were found with their hands bound behind their backs
sexually assaulted, strangled, but they varied in age and background (17-36 years old). His victims were Vicki Gail Purdy (25), Regina Sakamoto (17), Denise Hughes (21), Louise Medeiros (25), and Linda Pesce (36). Police thought for sure that they had their guy, but circumstantial evidence wasn't enough to hold him. This suspect ended up moving to California and died in 2005. None of these cases have ever been solved AND after some more digging/investigating for the production of a true crime show last year; there may have been at least one more victim from 1982. Additionally, the police may have had their killer, had DNA testing been an option in 1986.
