In May 2014, 88 year old Russell Dermond and his wife Shirley failed to show up for a Kentucky Derby party at their neighbors’ house. There was no sign of a disturbance at the home – but Russell was found decapitated on the garage floor. His head has never been found. Shirley was also missing, but days later she was found in the lake. She had been bound and bludgeoned, tied to cinderblocks, and thrown into the water from a boat. Who killed this elderly retired couple, what was the motive – and where is Russell’s missing head?
