Story Transcript:

En: It was a beautiful spring day in Bergen, and the air was filled with excitement.

En: Today was the day of the city's annual marathon, and everyone was out to cheer on the runners.

En: Among them was Lars, a local enthusiast who had been training for this race for months.

En: By his side stood his good friends, Ingrid and Erik, ready to provide him with the support he needed.

Nb: Klar, ferdig, gå!
En: Ready, set, go!

En: The starting gun sounded, and the runners set off.

En: Lars had a good rhythm and passed one kilometer after another.

En: The crowd cheered, and Lars felt like a true athlete.

En: But after ten kilometers, the crowd began to thicken.

En: He focused only on the road ahead, barely noticing how the course slowly but surely took him into the heart of Bergen.

En: Instead of following the route along Bryggen, he suddenly found himself in the bustling Fisketorget, full of people buying and selling fish.

En: Before he knew it, Lars slipped on a pile of fish crates and landed with a crash on the slippery stones.

En: Ingrid and Erik, who were standing along the route, quickly realized that Lars was missing and started searching for him.

En: While Lars tried to get up, his clothes covered in fish slime, he was met with worried and confused looks from the market traders.

En: An elderly lady came over and helped him up, lecturing him about the importance of watching where one walks.

En: Suddenly, Lars realized that the race was not the most important thing right now.

En: He smiled at the lady and thanked her for her help.

En: Just as he felt completely lost, he heard familiar voices shouting his name.

Nb: Ingrid og Erik dukket opp blant folkemengden, lettet over å finne ham.
En: Ingrid and Erik appeared in the crowd, relieved to find him.

En: Despite being covered in fish guts, Lars decided to continue the race.

En: With Ingrid on one side and Erik on the other, they ran back towards the official course.

En: People cheered and clapped as Lars, now cheerful and full of energy, crossed the finish line jubilantly with his friends.

En: Lars learned that it's not always about winning or having the fastest time, but rather about the unexpected experiences and the camaraderie of friends.

En: And that's how the marathon in Bergen ended, not just with a story about a race, but also one about friendship, unexpected events, and the warm charm of a city that will never forget the day Lars ran through Fisketorget.
