As I get older, I'm much more difficult to impress. I've heard a lot of new material from bands that should have that secret sauce, but instead rely on predictability to get somewhere in this business.

Recently, I discovered an amazing new group from the UK, eager to fill the holes left behind by the great emo and hardcore bands that have come before it.

Who is this band, with the seemingly perfect mishmash of influences and genre defying characteristics boldness?

These are the UK upstarts, As Everything Unfolds.

After a few weeks of begging, I was able to snag an interview with songwriter and guitarist Adam Kerr. Adam is a great guy. He's kind, witty, and a great player with a real ear for catchy melodies and chugging riffage. Basically, he's how you want your child to grow up.

Adam and I spent an hour together, really just enjoying a casual conversation about shared musical influences and experiences.

My only gripe comes from the fact that no matter what we did, we constantly dealt with an internet audio pipeline that glitched as often as possible and dropped or hiccupped constantly.... but hey... what'cha gonna do? My apologies....
