Description
Man, I think I wanted to talk to Kyle Thomas from the legendary groove metal band, Exhorder more than anyone in a long time. Kyle has been a influence in...
show moreKyle has been a influence in the music scene for as long as I've been listening to heavy music, and his vocal style has been ripped off for years. Some of the biggest bands ever copped his sound, but we can't complain about that.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
The band is back together again, and are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal debut, Slaughter in the Vatican. They are taking the show on the road, and will be playing a venue near you in December, as well as key dates and festivals coming up in the new year.
I was able to snag Kyle for a few minutes before our connection went to pot. After 10 days, we tried again, but our connection was still rough, so we cut it short and I cobbled the audio together for this release. I apologize, but sometimes the fates don't allow, and they definitely didn't this go around.
With that, I hope you'll check out the band on tour, buy their latest release, Mourn the Southern Skies, and get into this iconic group so they jump past mythic status and into the realm of legend where they belong.
This is my conversation with the man himself, Kyle Thomas, from Exhorder, on the Rockstar Superhero Podcast.
