Disaster Government - Brian Tuohy is best known as the author of The Fix Is In: The Showbiz Manipulations of the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NASCAR which was published by Feral House in 2010. The book gained national (and international) attention as it was reviewed by the Wall Street Journal, the nationally syndicated The Bookworm Sez, The Independent in the United Kingdom, and Milwaukee's The Shepherd Express among others. "Tuohy conducted over 100 interviews on radio stations across the United States and Canada promoting the book, including appearances on Coast to Coast AM and the Alex Jones Show. He was also asked to speak at Florida State University, Columbia College in Chicago, and the 2012 AEJMC National Conference. "Disaster Government was researched and written in a period of over three years. What began as a hobby morphed into one of the only books written on the subject of Continuity of Government programs available. It is based on the federal government's own files, many of which were obtained via the Freedom of Information Act and are seen here for the first time. "A third book, Larceny Games: Sports Gambling, Game Fixing and the FBI, is scheduled to be released in September 2013. Based on over 400 FBI files obtained via the Freedom of Information Act, Larceny Games will be the most complete examination of game fixing in professional sports ever published.
