Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading Tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet.

Here is the transcript:
Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Magician, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.
The Magician upright is the master of manifestation, resourcefulness, and focused willpower. He represents the power to turn ideas into reality by harnessing the tools. However, when The Magician appears reversed, his energy is distorted. It can point to misusing skills, lack of focus, or even deceit. The reversed Magician often signals that while you have the tools and potential for success, something is blocking your ability to use them effectively. It can also be a warning to check your motives or be wary of others who may not have your best interests at heart. So what does that mean when we see The Magician reversed in a reading? When The Magician Reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign to reflect on how you're using your talents. Common traits of a reversed magician are procrastinating or simply failing to leverage your abilities. A reversed magician may take shortcuts instead of doing things correctly. This card encourages you to re-examine your approach and ensure your actions align with your values. Sometimes, the reversed Magician isn't you at all. It may indicate that you are dealing with someone using their charm or intellect to manipulate situations to their advantage. The reversed Magician asks you to stay alert and trust your instincts if something feels off.
So, what is the best way to memorize The Magician in reverse?
Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Magician moment was a person my husband and I were dealing with, and we were trying to help this person out. My husband works in the winter and has the summer off, and this person worked with him on his crew in the winter. This person was a bit of a fast talker and always seemed to be hard on his luck. The story around this person was that he wanted to operate a landscaping business in the summer in the off-season. He was a charmer and, in my opinion, a dreamer. He spends lots of time sharing his big plans and creating trust with people through his stories. Unfortunately, we helped him by lending him some equipment to start things, and he disappeared with it. Someone we used to talk to regularly, vanished off the face of the earth with equipment. No more returning calls, texts, or emails. This person was just gone. We believed in this person's potential, but at the end of the day, they acted out of integrity. It's been close to five years since we talked to this person and we never did get the equipment back.
That's all for today's episode of The Magician reversed. Remember that to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot. Thanks for listening.
