Story Transcript:

El: Ο καλοκαιρινός ήλιος έλαμπε στο γαλάζιο ουρανό της Αθήνας, ενώ οι δρόμοι του Πλάκα γέμιζαν με τουρίστες και ντόπιους.
En: The summer sun was shining in the blue sky of Athens, while the streets of Plaka filled with tourists and locals.

El: Μέσα στο μικρό καφεδάκι "Ηλιαχτίδα", η μυρωδιά του φρέσκου καφέ ανακατεύονταν με τη χαρούμενη φασαρία των θαμώνων.
En: Inside the small café "Sunbeam," the smell of fresh coffee mixed with the cheerful chatter of the patrons.

El: Στα τραπεζάκια του καφέ, καθόταν ο Νίκος, κοιτώντας ανήσυχα το ρολόι του.
En: At one of the café's tables, Nikos was sitting, anxiously looking at his watch.

El: Ήξερε ότι αυτή η συνάντηση θα ήταν δύσκολη.
En: He knew that this meeting would be difficult.

El: Λίγο αργότερα, η Ελένη και ο Κώστας μπήκαν στο καφέ και κοίταξαν γύρω τους.
En: A little later, Eleni and Kostas entered the café and looked around.

El: Μόλις είδαν τον Νίκο, προχώρησαν προς το τραπέζι του.
En: As soon as they saw Nikos, they headed towards his table.

El: Ο Νίκος σηκώθηκε και τους χαιρέτησε δειλά.
En: Nikos stood up and greeted them timidly.

El: «Γεια σας», είπε ο Νίκος, προσπαθώντας να χαμογελάσει.
En: "Hello," said Nikos, trying to smile.

El: «Γεια Νίκο», απάντησε ο Κώστας με ένα φιλικό χαμόγελο.
En: "Hello, Nikos," replied Kostas with a friendly smile.

El: Η Ελένη παρέμεινε σιωπηλή και κάθισε τυπικά στην καρέκλα.
En: Eleni remained silent and sat formally on her chair.

El: Ο Νίκος πήρε μια βαθιά ανάσα.
En: Nikos took a deep breath.

El: «Χαίρομαι που ήρθατε», είπε αργά.
En: "I'm glad you came," he said slowly.

El: Η Ελένη κοίταξε μακριά από τον αδερφό της, προσπαθώντας να συγκρατήσει τα συναισθήματά της.
En: Eleni looked away from her brother, trying to hold back her emotions.

El: «Γιατί μας κάλεσες;
En: "Why did you call us?"

El: » ρώτησε τελικά κρύα.
En: she finally asked coldly.

El: «Ήθελα να μιλήσουμε.
En: "I wanted to talk.

El: Να ζητήσω συγγνώμη», απάντησε ο Νίκος.
En: To apologize," answered Nikos.

El: «Ξέρω ότι σας πλήγωσα φεύγοντας.
En: "I know I hurt you by leaving.

El: Ήταν δύσκολο για όλους μας».
En: It was hard for all of us."

El: Η Ελένη δεν μπορούσε να κρατηθεί άλλο.
En: Eleni couldn't hold back any longer.

El: «Δύσκολο;
En: "Hard?

El: Δεν είσαι εσύ που έμεινες εδώ να φροντίζεις τους γονείς μας!
En: You weren't the one who stayed here to take care of our parents!

El: Εγώ θυσίασα τα όνειρά μου για την οικογένεια, ενώ εσύ έφυγες να κάνεις τη ζωή σου!
En: I sacrificed my dreams for the family, while you left to live your life!"

El: »Ο Κώστας έβαλε το χέρι του πάνω στο χέρι της Ελένης.
En: Kostas placed his hand on Eleni's hand.

El: «Ήρεμα, Ελένη.
En: "Calm down, Eleni.

El: Ο Νίκος προσπαθεί να μας μιλήσει», είπε ήρεμα.
En: Nikos is trying to talk to us," he said calmly.

El: Ο Νίκος έσκυψε το κεφάλι του.
En: Nikos bowed his head.

El: «Δεν ήταν εύκολο για μένα.
En: "It wasn't easy for me.

El: Πίστεψέ με, ένιωσα μοναξιά και τύψεις όλα αυτά τα χρόνια», είπε με δάκρυα στα μάτια.
En: Believe me, I felt lonely and guilty all these years," he said with tears in his eyes.

El: Η Ελένη έκλεισε τα μάτια της και αναστέναξε.
En: Eleni closed her eyes and sighed.

El: «Δεν μπορείς να ζητάς συγγνώμη και να περιμένεις ότι όλα θα είναι καλά.
En: "You can't just apologize and expect everything to be fine.

El: Χρειάζεται χρόνος για να επουλώσουμε τις πληγές μας».
En: It takes time to heal our wounds."

El: Ο Νίκος κοίταξε τον Κώστα για υποστήριξη.
En: Nikos looked at Kostas for support.

El: «Ξέρω ότι δεν μπορώ να αλλάξω το παρελθόν.
En: "I know I can't change the past.

El: Αλλά θέλω να προσπαθήσουμε να γίνουμε ξανά οικογένεια», είπε και έβαλε το χέρι του στο τραπέζι, ελπίζοντας η Ελένη να το πιάσει.
En: But I want us to try to become a family again," he said and placed his hand on the table, hoping Eleni would take it.

El: Ο Κώστας, βλέποντας την προσπαθία του Νίκου, είπε: «Αδερφή, ξέρω ότι πονάς.
En: Kostas, seeing Nikos's effort, said, "Sister, I know you're hurting.

El: Αλλά δεν θα χάσουμε τίποτα αν του δώσουμε μια ευκαιρία».
En: But we won't lose anything by giving him a chance."

El: Η Ελένη κοίταξε τα δάκρυα στα μάτια του Νίκου και το πρόσωπο του Κώστα γεμάτο ελπίδα.
En: Eleni looked at the tears in Nikos's eyes and Kostas' face full of hope.

El: Έπιασε το χέρι του Νίκου διστακτικά και είπε: «Θα προσπαθήσω, αλλά πρέπει να ξέρεις ότι δεν θα είναι εύκολο».
En: She hesitantly took Nikos's hand and said, "I'll try, but you need to know it won't be easy."

El: Ο Νίκος χαμογέλασε ανάμεσα στα δάκρυά του.
En: Nikos smiled through his tears.

El: «Ευχαριστώ, Ελένη.
En: "Thank you, Eleni.

El: Αυτό είναι ό,τι ζητούσα».
En: That's all I was asking for."

El: Ο Κώστας χαμογέλασε και έβαλε τα χέρια του στους ώμους τους.
En: Kostas smiled and placed his hands on their shoulders.

El: «Ας κάνουμε μια νέα αρχή», είπε γεμάτος αισιοδοξία.
En: "Let's make a fresh start," he said full of optimism.

El: Έτσι, σε ένα μικρό καφέ στο Πλάκα, η οικογένεια έκανε το πρώτο βήμα για να ξαναχτίσει τις σχέσεις που είχαν χάσει.
