I remember the Hillsborough Disaster vaguely when it happened. I was 14 at the time and did take notice of the news but not as much as I should have I guess. Having never been to a football match, I couldn't imagine how terrible and busy the situation was. Thanks for sharing this podcast William, I found Mr Farrell to be a fascinating character and from this I checked out 7/7 Ripple Effect. I was actually working as a student nurse in a hospital in East London (Homerton) on 7/7. We were told to expect a lot of casualties but this didn't happen (I worked on a psychiatric ward). What struck me though is that we had very little information about what was going on. All mobile phone networks were shut down and my then wife was trying to contact me as I often went into Aldgate for lectures and so would have gone through a bomb site. Anyway I digress. Thanks again.
