Tomorrow is Latino Healthcare Day in the United States, which was named a holiday by former President Obama during his presidency. This holiday is to celebrate activist Cesar Chavez and his incredible efforts to help migrant workers. It is celebrated in the southwestern United States, which is where Cesar Chavez did most of his work. We discuss Cesar Chavez's legacy, the history of the labor rights movement, and latino healthcare issues historically. We are joined by Briar Rose's prima Jay Lara-Hager who has experience in the healthcare field as nurse, miscarriage doula, and a veteran of the US armed services.
