First of all, what does "leaving a legacy" mean? This phrase has multiple meanings for different people in different roles. Should this question be, "how will you be remembered?"
We talk about professional athletes and how great they were, how terrible they were, or what they could have been while in the league. If a professional athlete leaves a great legacy, what does that mean to you? Is it statistics, championships, tenure within that sport, makes a ton of money, or something else? Regardless of what the criteria is, we all have the different pieces to make that athlete great or not.
We could also relate it to ourselves within our own roles, such as: father, brother, son, husband, wife, grandmother, sister, etc. All of these roles (pro athlete included) are perceived with an individuals idea of what a great legacy truly is.
Honestly, how do you want to be remembered? Question yourself everyday to make this happen the way you want it to happen.
We discuss these ideas on our show, Real Deal! Take some time to listen!
