We all know someone going through a rough time - maybe now, maybe years ago. Could be someone close to you, or maybe someone who you know well enough to see their pain, but not well enough to know if they need your help.
In this episode, we step into the gray area of "should I help…how…will I just make things worse for them?"
My guests in this focused discussion include:
-Sue Rosenstock, Co-Founder of UMTTR
http://umttr.org/
-Christine Pinalto, Co-Founder of Sidelined USA
https://www.sidelinedusa.org/
-Rachell Vallarelli, College and Pro Women's Lacrosse Player
We know more people that we realize who are struggling and need help to get back to a place of peace and happiness - and we can all be part of their journey through the difficult place they are in.
Hear the perspectives from player and parent, over situations that range from depression to suicide from strong athletes who we assume are up for any challenge. You'll come to understand that people don't wear signs that say, "I need help”, but there are signals we can learn to see and hear; and that while people need help, they are not "broken" or need to be "fixed".
