Iconic Comedian Richard Pryor said it best, "When Blacks seek Justice, they often get Just-Us," which is why the title of this show is so important. These prophetic words were expressed over 30yrs ago and they are as relevant now as they were relevant then. Black people are arrested at a much higher rate than any ethnicity in this country. Black and brown boys and men are still the victims of police brutality more than any other community in this country. And, Black people as a community have felt the brunt of the Criminal Justice System in a way no other community has. This is why tonight's interview is so hard-htting and compelling. Kelley Williams-Bolar is the young mother who was sentenced to 3yrs in prison for falsifying her home address so that her daughters could go to school in a better school district. Her case made national headlines back in 2011 and it has become even more relevant today, as Actress Felicity Huffman; indicted as a part of the largest College Admissions Scandal in U.S. History, was sentenced to only 14 days in prison for paying $15,000 to have her daughters SAT scores boosted so she could get into Stanford University. Since her incident; Kelley Williams-Bolar has made guest appearances reliving her unsettling experience on various news stations and talk shows. Bolar has shared panels and got the attention of celebrities and civil rights activist such as, Al Sharpton, Roland Martin, Julie Chen, Kevin Johnson, Leah Remini,  We are happy to have her on the show this evening to share Pt. 1 of her story.

PLUS, we plan to talk about the Americas Got Talent Finals and how the Detroit Youth Choir did; their welcome home celebration and did they also get $1mil? We also want to congratulate Actor Jharrell Jerome for winning an Emmy for his role as Korey Wise in the Netflix docuseries #WhenTheySeeUs. Plus a great word in the end.  Great show in show in store. Be sure to tune in!
