But as the words left his lips, a great roar echoed through the forest. The ground shook, and the trees swayed as if caught in a strong wind. Both Ilara and Kallen watched warily as the sky darkened and a crack of lightning split the air.
Suddenly, from deep in the forest, a figure appeared. It was the Guardian of Avilon, a creature made of shadow and light, shifting form and swirling like smoke. Its eyes glowed with an ancient power as it approached the prince and princess.
“Elara,” the guardian's voice boomed, “you have broken the sacred law. You allowed an outsider into Avilon.” The princess stepped forward, her heart racing. “It was not my doing, Guardian. He found his way here.”
