In this week's episode, you'll hear from my guest, Kate Watson with Kate Watson Music. Kate is a National Country Pop Artist from the Houston area. She wants her music to be an inspiration to all those who listen. Her music is greatly influenced by Tori Kelly, Demi Lovato, and Taylor Swift. Kate has been around music her whole life, following in the footsteps of her father.
She decided to pursue her music career professionally at the age of 15. Kate just released her new single, "I Have a Voice", which is also the theme song for Colors of Hope, a non-profit that stands in the fight against human trafficking.
Kate shares her personal struggle with bullying as a teenager and how it led her to follow God's call for her life, being a voice for the voiceless. She talks about young girls being unbelievably mean, her struggle to fit in, and how she had to make the decision to not let this define her in life.
If you are the mother of a daughter, you have to hear this episode. She exemplifies self-confidence, self-love, courage in the face of adversity, following your dreams, and is the most ideal role model I could think of for a young girl.
Kate has some exciting things coming up in 2019 that you won't want to miss.
