On this episode of the adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Neil from Deformatory who have some totally awesome, badass music which comes from only 2 guys.

Neil talks about the process of how they make their music and how different it is to some artists nowadays who just press a button and call themselves a musician. Neil explains that all of their music is purely jamming, and they just enjoy themselves with the music.

Pipeman brings up the positive effects the pandemic has had on music, as it has allowed artists to get off the hamster wheel and become musicians again. Neil agrees and says they were really able to apply themselves to the writing and really refine them before releasing them. He says he’s proud of their newest single, which is coming out in September.

Neil puts their complete sound despite having only 2 people down to how long they have been together playing. They have 3 studio albums over the course of 10 years, so he says they’re quite in sync at this stage. He also says it’s easier to come to a conclusion on creative decisions when it’s only two members.
