On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Kharen from Bloodywood live from the Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire, UK.

Kharen says he’s super excited to be at Bloodstock after waiting so long to play the stage, but being here is amazing and he’s super excited to watch some awesome artists, which is something he doesn’t get to do often as they rush to the next gig.

Kharen jokes their music is metal Tikka Masala, but says they like to call it Indian Folk Metal, but it has so many genres inside it, like new metal, thrash and Indian folk to name just a few. Ultimately, it’s Indian metal.

After Bloodstock, they’re heading to Southampton to play a show and then playing several more festivals over the summer. They’ll also be playing at Alcatraz as well as Railroad Festival, before doing a 15 show tour of the US, including AfterShock and Louder Than Life. Then in 2023, they’ll be doing a headline tour of the UK.

When asked about where his favourite place to play is, he says they recently played Fuji Rock in Japan and he said he didn’t want to come home from it. He says the culture is awesome and it would be an amazing place to live.

Pipeman finishes off by asking Kharen about some killer stories he’s gonna tell his grandkids when he’s 80. Kharen tells Pipeman all about the time they played in Russia, where there was a hurricane while they were there!
