Af: Op 'n koue wintersdag, op Nasionele Vrouedag, was die mark vol mense en geure.
En: On a cold winter's day, on National Women's Day, the market was full of people and scents.

Af: Kleurvolle stalletjies met vars produkte en handgemaakte kunswerke het die atmosfeer lewendig gemaak.
En: Colorful stalls with fresh produce and handmade crafts enlivened the atmosphere.

Af: Pieter, 'n lomp maar goed bedoelde man, stap deur die mark.
En: Pieter, a clumsy but well-meaning man, walked through the market.

Af: Sy sak is vol kos wat hy vir Annelie moes koop.
En: His bag was full of food he had to buy for Annelie.

Af: "Pieter, jy ken mos Annelie.
En: "Pieter, you know Annelie.
