Sunshine Coast purveyors of noise Pandamic are finally releasing their latest EP How To Be Happy on October 29.
While the band doesn’t profess to know exactly how to do so on a global scale, they bring forth a number of good examples within the six tracks on the EP that is brimming with the bands trademark punk undertones and feelgood vibes.
Vocalist Rhys Adams spoke with HEAVY about the EP and the long road to releasing it.
"We recorded these songs yonks ago now,” he explained, “so to us they are the best things we made at the time. We recorded it so many times and had so many failures and setbacks to us it’s the most excited we've ever been to release music and it's definitely the best stuff we've ever released in our mindsets. We're super excited to share it with everyone because we've been sitting on it for so long it's actually surreal that we're finally getting it out there. It's frustrating at the same time because we've got all these other songs now, and I'm not saying that the songs we are releasing suck (laughs) but we've got better ones now and now we have to put them through the process and do it again."
In the full interview Rhys discusses the central theme to the EP, how hard it was having to wait for it’s release, missing playing live, their signing to Rat Bag Records, upcoming shows and more.
