This show is part of the Trans Podcaster Visibility Initiative.
Our Initiative's first cause, helping Ted go to school: https://www.gofundme.com/help-a-fiveyearold-go-to-school
As Callie and I have started a media network that is also intended to be a non-profit to help trans people, what better time could there be to help a trans family out that's having a rough time this time of year? The Trans Podcaster Visibility Initiative has decided to take up a cause for this family, and we're looking for people to help, both with fundraising and for rewards.
*Ted is a five-year-old gender-nonconforming child who lives in the Twin Cities. *Ted's parent, a trans woman, found a school called the Gaia school that is much more suited for their needs, but it runs 350 a month, and *Ted's parent, *Sam recently lost her job.
We've decided to try to raise six months of tuition for this amazing kid and a parent who is having a rough time right now. In addition to trying to raise money to help them out, we're also looking for people to help with rewards. We will be talking about the fundraisers on the podcast and giving shout-outs, but for people who donate a certain level, we'd like to get some of our talented friends involved. If you have a show, podcast, book, etc, and would be willing to record a few shout-outs for people who help out our cause, please PM one of us.
The GFM will be live soon, and will be posted in the comments. Thank you so much for considering, donating, sharing, and hopefully helping us reward those generous enough to aid a bright young child get a better education. Thank you.
