Salmos 25:1‭-‬15 RVA2015:
A ti, oh SEÑOR, levantaré mi alma. ¡Dios mío, en ti confío! No sea yo avergonzado. No triunfen sobre mí mis enemigos. Ciertamente ninguno de los que confían en ti será avergonzado. Serán avergonzados los que se rebelan sin causa. Muéstrame, oh SEÑOR, tus caminos; enséñame tus sendas. Encamíname en tu verdad y enséñame porque tú eres el Dios de mi salvación. En ti he esperado todo el día. Acuérdate, oh SEÑOR, de tu compasión y de tu misericordia que son perpetuas. No te acuerdes de los pecados de mi juventud ni de mis rebeliones. Conforme a tu misericordia acuérdate de mí, por tu bondad, oh SEÑOR. Bueno y recto es el SEÑOR; por eso él enseñará a los pecadores el camino. Encaminará a los humildes en la justicia y enseñará a los humildes su camino. Todas las sendas del SEÑOR son misericordia y verdad para con los que guardan su pacto y sus testimonios. Por amor de tu nombre, oh SEÑOR, perdona también mi iniquidad porque es grande. ¿Qué hombre es el que teme al SEÑOR? Él le enseñará el camino que ha de escoger. Su alma reposará en bienestar, y sus descendientes heredarán la tierra. El secreto del SEÑOR es para los que le temen; a ellos hará conocer su pacto. Mis ojos están siempre puestos en el SEÑOR porque él sacará mis pies de la red.


Este es un salmo muy bonito porque demuestra la humildad del salmista al acercarse al Señor. Recomiendo este salmo, especialmente a nuestros jóvenes oyentes de este devocional o a cualquiera que esté ocupado en mejorar su caminar con Dios. Es importante hacer esta oración al Señor reconociendo que, como humanos, fácilmente podríamos estar confundidos y desviarnos del Camino de la Verdad. Muchas veces nos dejamos llevar por nuestra propia opinión y pensamos que estamos actuando correctamente cuando posiblemente estemos obrando equivocadamente. Debemos tener la actitud del salmista que clamaba al Señor para que lo libre del mal, pero a la misma vez reconocía que necesitaba la guianza del Señor por si estaba obrando de forma incorrecta.
Cuando entregamos nuestra vida al Señor y nos bautizamos, esto no significa que entramos inmediatamente al cielo. En realidad es el inicio de una larga carrera hacia la vida eterna. Cuando entramos al camino de Dios es un camino de bendición, salvación y redención; también es un camino angosto donde fácilmente podríamos desviarnos del camino. Debemos recordar continuamente el no desviarnos ni a la derecha ni a la izquierda, y ser conscientes de apartar nuestros pies de la senda del mal.
Es por eso que es importante venir ante la presencia de Dios y evaluar continuamente cómo está nuestro caminar en el Señor porque el propósito es llegar a la meta.
Algunos corren tan rápido que tropiezan, y otros caminan tan despacio que miran atrás y quieren volver al camino del mal. El caminar con Dios es como un maratón, marchando, avanzando siempre hacia adelante con cuidado y sin tropezar.
Si eres lo suficientemente humilde para reconocer que cometemos errores cuando somos jóvenes, y te esfuerzas para guardar la Palabra del Señor, entonces vas a recibir revelación de cómo vivir en justicia y Dios te enseñará el camino que debes tomar.

Me encantó que el salmista revelara cómo descubrir el secreto de Dios para conocer su pacto: el Señor nos revelará sus secretos cuando nosotros GUARDAMOS sus mandamientos. Y si mantenemos nuestra mirada en el Señor, Él nos va a liberar cuando caigamos en alguna trampa.
Te animo para que leas todo el salmo completo que es muy hermoso. Encontrarás otros versos donde aprenderás más cosas.

Considera:
Cuando estás confundido y no sabes qué decisión tomar, ¿clamas al Señor con un corazón humilde e íntegro?
¿Eres lo suficientemente dócil para dejarte guiar por el Señor?

October 10: Lord, show me the way!

Psalm 25:1-15:
To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me. Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day. Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses, for they are from old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Your mercy remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.


This is a beautiful psalm because it shows the humility of the psalmist in approaching the Lord. I recommend this psalm, especially to our young listeners of this devotional or to anyone who is busy improving their walk with God. It is important to make this prayer to the Lord recognizing that, as humans, we could easily get confused and stray from the Path of Truth. Many times we get carried away by our own opinion and think that we are acting correctly, when possibly we are acting wrong. We must have the attitude of the psalmist who cried out to the Lord to free him from evil, but at the same time he recognized that he needed the Lord's guidance in case he was doing wrong.
When we surrender our lives to the Lord and are baptized, this does not mean that we immediately enter heaven. It is actually the beginning of a long race towards eternal life. When we enter the path of God it is a path of blessing, salvation and redemption; it is also a narrow path where we could easily stray from the path. We must continually remember not to stray either to the right or to the left, and to be aware of taking our feet from the path of evil.
That is why it is important to come before the presence of God and continually evaluate how our walk in the Lord is because the purpose is to reach the goal.
Some run so fast that they stumble, and others walk so slowly that they look back and want to return to the path of evil. Walking with God is like a marathon, marching, always moving forward carefully and without stumbling.
If you are humble enough to recognize that we make mistakes when we are young, and you strive to keep the Word of the Lord, then you are going to receive revelation of how to live righteously and God will show you the path to take.

I loved that the psalmist revealed how to discover God's secret to knowing His covenant: the Lord will reveal His secrets to us when we KEEP His commandments. And if we keep our eyes on the Lord, He will set us free when we fall into a trap.

Consider this:
When you are confused and don't know what decision to make, do you cry out to the Lord with a humble and whole heart?
Are you docile enough to allow yourself to be guided by the Lord?
