November 29: The privileges we receive upon entering His presence.

📖 Psalms 84:1-12:
How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young— even Your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You. Selah
Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
O God, behold our shield, and look upon the face of Your anointed. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!

📖 Psalms 85:7-13:
Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation. I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.

These two psalms are very beautiful! Psalm 84 is a poem exalting the blessing of being in the house of God. It was a very great privilege for the Jews and for everyone who could go to the tabernacle or the temple and offer sacrifices of reconciliation and peace before the Lord.
The writer of this psalm shows us the privileges of drawing close to the Lord. Several verses here are impressive to me. When someone sets out to look to the Lord and seek His presence, they are showing that their trust and source of strength is only in the Lord, and they will begin to see miracles in their life.
If they go through dry valleys of tears, sadness and pain, their life will be transformed with rains of consolation and blessing. They will be people who will gradually see the power and glory of God in their lives, they will see how they overcome obstacles and achieve goals, experiencing successes and victories in their lives as they approach the mountain of God, as we studied in Psalm 75 a few days ago.
That is why the psalmist exclaimed his admiration for the house of God and said that he would rather spend a day of life in the corridors of the house of God than a thousand years in the houses of evil.
The secret of permanent and continuous blessing is that the person must be of integrity, leading an exemplary life according to the commandments of God.

The following Psalm 85 is a hopeful plea. Although the psalmist was crying out for God's mercy and help in a difficult moment, at the same time he glorified the Lord who is the One who will grant him the full blessing when God allows truth to be combined with mercy and peace with justice. What a beautiful combination! Don't forget to read this entire chapter.

Noviembre 29: Los privilegios que recibimos al entrar a Su presencia.

📖 Salmos 84:1‭-‬12 RVA2015:
¡Cuán amables son tus moradas, oh SEÑOR de los Ejércitos! Mi alma anhela y aun desea ardientemente los atrios del SEÑOR. Mi corazón y mi carne cantan con gozo al Dios vivo. Hasta el pajarito halla una casa y la golondrina un nido para sí donde poner sus polluelos cerca de tus altares, oh SEÑOR de los Ejércitos, ¡Rey mío y Dios mío! ¡Bienaventurados los que habitan en tu casa! Continuamente te alabarán. Selah
¡Bienaventurado el hombre que tiene en ti sus fuerzas y en cuyo corazón están tus caminos! Cuando pasan por el valle de lágrimas lo convierten en manantial. También la lluvia temprana lo cubre de bendición. Irán de poder en poder y verán a Dios en Sion. Oh SEÑOR Dios de los Ejércitos, oye mi oración. Escucha, oh Dios de Jacob. Selah
Mira, oh Dios, escudo nuestro; pon tu vista en el rostro de tu ungido. Porque mejor es un día en tus atrios que mil fuera de ellos. Prefiero estar en el umbral de la casa de mi Dios que habitar en moradas de impiedad. Porque sol y escudo es el SEÑOR Dios; gracia y gloria dará el SEÑOR. No privará del bien a los que andan en integridad. Oh SEÑOR de los Ejércitos, ¡bienaventurado el hombre que confía en ti!

📖 Salmos 85:7‭-‬13 RVA2015:
Muéstranos, oh SEÑOR, tu misericordia y concédenos tu salvación. Escucharé lo que hable el SEÑOR Dios; pues él hablará paz a su pueblo y a sus fieles para que no se vuelvan a la locura. Ciertamente cercana está su salvación para los que le temen, para que habite la gloria en nuestra tierra. La misericordia y la verdad se encontraron; la justicia y la paz se besaron. La verdad brotará de la tierra, y la justicia mirará desde los cielos. Asimismo, el SEÑOR dará el bien, y nuestra tierra dará su fruto. La justicia irá delante de él y hará de sus pasos un camino.

¡Estos dos salmos son muy hermosos! El salmo 84 es una poesía exaltando la bendición de estar en la casa de Dios. Era un privilegio muy grande para los judíos y para todo aquel que podía ir al tabernaculo o al templo y ofrecer sacrificios de reconciliación y paz delante del Señor.
El escritor de este salmo nos muestra los privilegios de acercarse al Señor. Varios versos aquí me son impresionantes. Cuando alguien se propone mirar al Señor y buscar Su presencia, está demostrando que su confianza y fuente de fortaleza solo está en el Señor, y comenzará a ver en su vida milagros.
Si pasan por valles secos de lágrimas, tristeza y dolor, será transformada su vida con lluvias de consolación y bendición. Serán personas que verán gradualmente el poder y la gloria de Dios en sus vidas, verán cómo superan obstáculos y conquistan metas, experimentando éxitos y victorias en sus vidas a medida que se acercan al monte de Dios, como lo estudiamos en el salmo 75 hace unos días.
Por eso es que el salmista exclamó su admiración por la casa de Dios y dijo que preferiría estar un día de vida en los pasillos de la casa de Dios que mil años en las casas de maldad.
El secreto de la bendición permanente y continua radica en que la persona debe ser íntegra, llevando una vida ejemplar conforme a los mandamientos de Dios.

El siguiente salmo 85 es una súplica llena de esperanza. Aunque el salmista estaba clamando por la misericordia y el socorro de Dios en un momento difícil, a la misma vez glorificaba al Señor que es el que le concederá la bendición plena cuando Dios permita que se junte la verdad con la misericordia y la paz con la justicia. ¡Que combinación tan linda! No olvides leer todo este capítulo.

¿Qué tan grande es tu pasión por la presencia de Dios?
¿Estás viviendo una doble vida o estás viviendo en integridad?
