On fourth down with less than a minute left in the game and Buffalo having a 27 to 23 lead, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was stopped short of scoring a touchdown. After the defensive stop, on first and 10 at their own one-yard line, a bad snap between quarterback Josh Allen and his offensive lineman caused Buffalo to fumble the ball. Vikings defender Eric Kendricks recovered the ball in the end zone scoring a touchdown giving Minnesota a 30 to 27 lead. Bills quarterback Josh Allen led a successful drive putting his team in field goal range. The Bills' field goal tied the game at 30 to send it into overtime. In overtime, kicker Greg Joseph's field goal was good giving the Vikings a 33 to 30 lead. Buffalo's drive got off to a good start, but would end Josh Allen throwing an interception giving the Vikings the win.
