Story Transcript:

Ja: 東京の渋谷区、その騒々しい街中にある、どこにでもあるコンビニエンスストア。店内は思いもよらないくらいに混雑していた。物語の主人公、ハルトはまさにそのコンビニで出口を探してユイと一緒に彷徨っていた。
En: In the bustling city of Shibuya in Tokyo, there was an ordinary convenience store like any other. Inside, it was unexpectedly crowded. The protagonist of the story, Haruto, was wandering around with Yui in search of the exit in that convenience store.

Ja: 「これ以上無駄に時間を使いたくない」と、ユイはハルトに手を引っ張りながら進んだ。物語の彼女は、夢中で小さな電子マップに指示を読んでいた。
En: "I don't want to waste any more time," Yui said as she pulled Haruto's hand and urged him forward. She was engrossed in reading instructions on a small electronic map.

Ja: 「違うよ、ユイ、こっちだよ。」と、ハルトは広い店内を見回し、上手く行かないと少々焦りながらも自信たっぷりにそう主張した。彼は一生懸命ながらも些か自己中心的だった。
En: "No, Yui, it's this way," Haruto looked around the wide store and, despite feeling a bit anxious when things didn't go smoothly, confidently asserted so. He was diligent but somewhat self-centered.

Ja: キャンディーとチョコレートの間の通路、お菓子のパラダイスを抜け、彼らは冷蔵庫の列まで順を追って進んだ。しかし、その過程でユイは彼を忘れて、新発売のアイスクリームに気を取られてしまった。
En: Passing through the aisle between candy and chocolate, escaping the paradise of sweets, they advanced in line with the refrigerators. However, in the process, Yui became distracted by the new ice cream release and forgot about him.

Ja: 値段を見極め、ユイは興奮気味にハルトを探した。しかし、彼の姿は行方不明であった。日常の中心にいたはずの存在がいなくなり、一瞬、彼女は寂しさを感じた。
En: Upon determining the price, excitedly looking for Haruto, Yui noticed his absence. The person who was supposed to be at the center of her daily life was gone, and for a moment, she felt a sense of loneliness.

En: Realizing this was the exit, Haruto, with a proud smile on his face from relying on his instincts and map-reading skills, exclaimed, "Finally, we're free!" He called out loudly to Yui.

Ja: ハルトの呼び声にユイはアイスクリームを手に取ったまま彼の元へ駆け寄った。「どこに行ってたの？！」と彼女は驚き、しかしユイの目はハルトの後ろにある出口に留まった。
En: With her ice cream in hand, Yui ran towards him. "Where were you?!" she exclaimed, but her eyes remained fixed on the exit behind Haruto.

Ja: 「あんたが探してた出口？！」彼女の驚き混じりの声がコンビニエンスストア全体に響きわたった。ハルトはにっこりと笑ってユイに頷いた。そして彼らは、得意げにそのコンビニを後にした。
En: "The exit you were looking for?!" her surprised voice mixed with amazement echoed throughout the entire convenience store. Haruto grinned and nodded at Yui. They proudly left the convenience store together.
