With more than a nod to continuity my fiance had her brother and sister-in-law staying with her so we decided to head out together for a cool day out at the National Museum of Flight where I made these recordings. Charlie and Jo are a lovely couple and they were the reason we ended up going all the way over to New Zealand to witness their wedding. Sadly they didn't join us for this first part although they did see it not long after. This is Concorde, the legendary supersonic passenger jet Project jointly designed and built by the UK and France. Flying from the 70s to the early 21st century, this plane was famous not only for her pure speed but her luxury and celebrity passengers. Join us as Isla goes through a brief history of supersonic flight then travel with us through the unexpectedly cramped confines of Concorde herself.
