17, My Protector

Blaiz remembers her mother, her best friend, her role model and her protector, Raquel. Raquel loved to laugh, and she passed down her cooking skills to her children. Even her grandchildren know that all it takes sometimes is "a pinch!" Blaiz looks just like her mother and people tell her this all the time. Blaize walks us through a near death experience she had where she literally felt the presence of her protector. She is on year 4 without her mom, and she has a hopeful message for others that have lost a parent.
